Election of the first National Refereeing Board

The Royal Belgian Handball Federation (URBH-KBHB) successfully organised the first-ever elections for the National Refereeing Board (NRB), marking an important milestone in the continued professionalisation and development of refereeing in Belgium. 

A total of 127 of the 270 eligible referees and observers took part in the elections, representing a 47% turnout

The following members have been elected:

Director of Referees: Klaus Convents
Organisational Director: Guy Kerremans
Promotion & Talent Manager: Eric Schreder
Appointments / Nominations Manager: Philippe Denis
Education & Development Manager: Angelo Verdonck
 

The newly elected NRB will focus on further strengthening refereeing in Belgium through a long-term vision, referee education and development, talent identification, transparent appointment procedures, close cooperation between VHV, LFH and Belgian Handball, and enhanced support for referees and observers.
